Tilt-Up Projects
Kaiser South Sacramento - Outpatient Surgery Center
Sacramento, CA
This project consisted of 550-cubic-yards of foundation, 563-cubic-yards of slab-on-grade and 975-cubic-yards of slab-on-deck. Additionally, it included 413-cubic-yards of concrete tilt-up panels and reveals, which consisted of 17 panels that were lifted in one day. During the tilt process, additional panel bracing was required to protect a bulk oxygen tank as well as pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
The Outpatient Surgery Center will have a corridor that connects the facility to the hospital towers. All work is being complete just a few feet away from an existing, occupied hospital, which requires careful coordinated and scheduling so that construction will not affect the hospital’s daily operation. View some of the progress in this video.
